LivingLab operates within the Social Informatics framework of the Polish Japanese Academy for Information Technology. This broader framework is led by dr hab. Adam Wierzbicki. LivingLab is developed by a broad array of people, with the following scientist forming its core team:
Katarzyna Abramczuk
Sociology PhD, lecturer at the Warsaw University Institute of Sociology. Her scientific work focuses on formal modeling of social phenomena, evolutionary game theory, mechanism of reciprocity and trust, as well as theories of decision making.
Bartłomiej Balcerzak
Graduated the Institute of Sociology at the University of Warsaw. Phd student of Social Informatics at the Polish Japanese Academy of Information Technology. His primary scientific interests include natural language processing, clustering and segmentation algorithms, machine learning and application of evolutionary models in social sciences.
Katarzyna Gniadzik
Graduated the Institute of Sociology at the University of Warsaw. Phd student of Social Informatics at the Polish Japanese Academy of Information Technology. Her scientific interests include the application of game theory in social sciences, social sciences methodology, education evaluation and scam detection.
Marta Juźwin
Graduated the Institute of Sociology at the University of Warsaw. Phd student of Social Informatics at the Polish Japanese Academy of Information Technology. Her work is focused and utilization of reputation and gamification system in motivation users of crowdsourcing platforms.
Wiesław Kopeć
Assistant professor at PJAIT, co-founder and active member of LivinLab PJAIT, IT professional and research scientist focused on various aspects of human-computer interaction, including its participatory and intergenerational character, new interfaces like VR and AR alongside with major underlying trends like AI, ML, NLP or CEP.
Grzegorz Kowalik
Graduated the Institute of Sociology at the University of Warsaw. Phd student of Social Informatics at the Polish Japanese Academy of Information Technology. He specializes in ranking systems and algorithms, competition-based models and social simulations.
Radosław Nielek
Computer science PhD, lecturer at the Polish Japanese Academy of Information Technology. His interests include formal modeling of social phenomena and multi-agent simulations. He authored over 30 papers published in scientific journals and presented on international conferences.
Kinga Skorupska
Linguist and computer science researcher, member of interdisciplinary Living Lab research group. Her research focuses on intergenerational interaction, crowdsourcing and machine learning with the use of new and emerging technologies and interfaces like Voice Assistants.
Adam Wierzbicki
Computer science PhD and habilitation title, Full Professor and Vice-President of the Polish-Japanese Academy for Information Technology. He is an expert in Social Informatics and the author of numerous scientific publications. His current research interests focus in particular on credibility, trust management, collective intelligence and fairness in distributed systems.
